Bob has been handling complex commercial disputes for more than 40 years. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in both the prosecution and defense of mid-sized and large companies in state and federal courts throughout the country and in arbitration tribunals, both domestically and abroad. That experience has given him a deep appreciation that the goal is to achieve a commercially advantageous resolution of the dispute, with aggressive litigation used as a tool, not as an objective in itself.

Bob represents clients in high-stakes litigation and arbitration relating to sophisticated financial products, merger and acquisition agreements, significant manufacturing, supply and licensing agreements, professional liability, intellectual property, and antitrust matters. Bob also conducts client seminars and counsels domestic and multinational clients with respect to distribution, employment, trade regulation, franchising and other matters.

Bob received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law & Policy in International Business Journal.  He graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in economics.  Bob has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America USA Guide (Litigation – Mergers & Acquisitions) annually since 2012, in the list of New York Super Lawyers since 2007, and he has long been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as an AV (Preeminent) peer-rated attorney.  Bob is a member of the following professional organizations: American Bar Association, Federal Bar Council, and Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
